Kim Knowle’s new and extensive book Experimental Film and Photochemical Practices is published by Palgrave MacMillan and is aptly dedicated to “all the photochemical radicals and free spirits”. I’m excited to have my work discussed among some exciting contemporaries in the chapter ‘Projecting Film, Expanding Cinema’. It’s a detailed look at labour and technology, media specificity and community – and features some artists whose names deserved to emerge from the briny chemical bath of culture.
Knowle’s book can be found here.
